My passion for the care and service of others drove me to a career in health care. I believe that the calling on my life is to be there for those in need, even if only to provide an attentive and compassionate listening ear. To nurse is to nurture, and my experience as a mother also strengthens my drive to be a successful nurse.

 

As a nurse, I am committed to providing the best care possible for patients no matter our differences. A nurse must never approach a patient with preconceived notions, only compassion. To care for others requires that I set aside personal opinions or biases and embrace the needs before me. To sum up my nursing philosophy, I do not need to personally know or agree with a patient to provide them with safe, quality and compassionate care as though they were a member of my own family.
